Academic Support

General Resources

What is Academic Intervention?

Academic intervention refers to targeted support provided to students who are struggling in their coursework and organization. The goal is to assist students with organization, assignment completion, and academic support to improve their academic performance, ensuring that they have the skills needed for success.

Purpose

The primary aim of academic intervention is to identify and address areas where students may need extra help in specific subjects. This can involve additional instruction, tailored resources, or individual teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student.

Types of Academic Interventions Available

  1. Individual Support: One-on-one or small group sessions focusing on areas where a student may need additional support in coursework or organization.
  2. Instructional Adjustments: Modifications in teaching strategies or materials to suit students' learning needs. This is often accomplished through academic intervention plans tailored to individual students.
  3. Additional Resources: Providing extra practice materials or educational tools to reinforce concepts and promote mastery.
